I see both sides of that discussion, I get why some think that nothing egregious was said. But athletes and fans take even the slightest diss personal, and use it as an edge, as motivation, fuel. It was dumb of them to poke that bear and energize a team and fan base that was already going to bring it, it only makes things harder on yourself.

This is a softball question and that should be the default answer no matter who the team is. I don’t know why reporters ask these dumb questions but it takes just an ounce of common sense to know you should show class and sportsmanship to your opponent.
