So on a flight from charlotte to Omaha. Talking to a few fans. Costals mascot is a pouldeau just figured it out

It used to be more closely affiliated with USCe hence the similar mascot.

At Jacksonville State we were/are the Gamecocks, but our newspaper is called “The Chanticleer” or (the can’t be clear by students). We had a lot of programs with Coastal since the schools were so much alike.
