I've seen many threads asking about ticket prices so wanted to offer my .02.

Like most things in life, tickets to the CWS aren't what they used to be back in "my day."

I remember the hyvee flip books where you could attend every game for $50 bucks.

But, if you're looking at the prices right now and thinking they look ridiculous, it's because they are. The get in price is currently around $250, it will be closer to $100-$150 come 4:30 Saturday,

Furthermore, Saturday is always the most expensive game to go to. A lot of people who have been off work for a week have to head back Sunday, and Monday is always the cheapest of the 3.

If you have the means to buy your tickets right now that's awesome. But if you want to go, take the kids, and are concerned with current prices, take it from me.

They are going to come down.

All the tickets come with a panic tax right now.

You can also go to the ticket office on site and get standing room only for 40 bucks each. That’s the only ticket type you can get there though. All of the reserved seats are re-sale.

Are there people outside the gates selling tickets like they do for football games? I would think this is the best way to get some cheaper than the 2nd market on the internet. I know its a gamble I guess.

Where are the SRO areas? Also, is there a limited number of SRO tickets?

Not my experience with the box office. I paid $75 each for standing room tickets for the Saturday night game. Seems like they make up the prices as they go. Can’t find any prices from the box office online and if you call them, you will get different answers from different people, like “it will likely cost between $40 - $60 per ticket “.

Pretty sure you have to be across the street and completely off stadium grounds to sell tickets

There were a few guys outside last Saturday right in front of the entrance to the baseball village - they were hustling though so not sure you’ll save any money going this route.

The resale market to any sporting event is just outrageous. Schwab holds 24,000 people. There's no way that many people are going to be there.

Don’t buy from anyone on a bike.
