It not necessarily surprising considering he doesn’t have an overpowering fastball. He has looked great so far. Bats need to step up

He’s started almost every right hander with that slider. It’s not that good so if they’re on it they will hit it.
This may be his last inning, but he’s bounced back with two punch outs. I think they keep riding him if he can get this 3rd out.

He still looks great.. if you can’t score at least one run or more you don’t deserve to win… getting hits and scoring runs behind him would help..
