It's too early to know for sure right now.
But it feels like Brady Ebel and Quentin Young are long shots.
Jaden Fauske, Briggs McKenzie, and Miguel Sime are also long shots, but maybe slightly more chance of getting to campus.
Both Omar Serna and Landon Hodge are toss ups.
Marcos Paz is recovering from TJ and has a decent chance to make it. River Hamilton's draft stock has dropped and feels like he'll make it.
Reagan Ricken feels like he'll make it.
Jonah Aase had TJ earlier this year, status unclear.
Jack Ruckert and William Patrick are in state guys, and you hope that helps with them, but William Patrick has some draft helium.
Ethan Clauss seems like a decent bet to make it.
Mason Braun has recently had some draft helium, could be a toss up.

Puts into perspective how insanely hard it is to build a championship roster year to year given the dynamics of the draft, portal, and current roster attrition both voluntary and involuntary.
Feels like this year has alot more risk in losing to the draft yet Jay is being highly selective in the portal.
Again the key word here is championship and given the pending roster limitations it is imperative you don't miss.

Brady Ebel

The hope is that he sees Roch Cholowsky's success at UCLA and decides the college route is for him.
They're in very similar situations. High profile prospects that were on the map for a long time and have dads that work for the Dodgers. Cholowsky's dad is a scout and Ebel's dad is the 3rd base coach.
I don't really see it happening, but it would be cool.

If we could get Miguel Sime that would be amazing. Kid is filthy

I meant to put him in the category with Fauske. Theophilus probably in the category below that.
ETA: With the exception of Jonah Aase, seeing any particular guy get drafted wouldn't surprise me.
This is the first class I've seen like that.

With NIL and school pay, why not go make some money, experience college life and get better in the SEC?

With NIL, the chance of a high draft pick making it to campus are better than ever before. Unless it's a 1st or 2nd round pick, where the signing bonus can be ridiculous (at least IMO), it's a tough decision. A friend's son was a 5th round pick and signed but he says with even a modest NIL he would've gone college.

Just looked at a mock draft. Several LSU commits are in the 125 to 175 range. Slot values around $600k to $400k. Go to LSU, get some decent money (not as much sure), become a state hero, go into the insurance business and make that much money in 4 years. Or go play pro ball after college and do that for awhile and still get a signing bonus. Either way, I'd much rather have NIL and the college experience than more money (unless it's significant) and mire in the A and AA circuit.

Jay is already said that he doesn't believe in NIL for HS players unless they are looking at first round money. Perhaps enough to pay their way but not buy a charger.

That's how it should be. These guys need to be sure things to warrant blowing the budget on them. Cam Johnson fell into that "pay the 1st rounders" category and then look at how that turned out. Would much rather pay for proven commodities

CJJ says he prefers "Old and strong vs Young and weak"...some of these guys better go where they can play every day and then head to LSU after some experience.

Yeah, we definitely don’t play freshmen.
Look, we know your cousin or something feels jilted because he couldn’t earn at bats. Get the frick over it or bitch somewhere else. It’s fricking tiring.

No matter how many times you post this it’s not true. If you’re a freshman and can contribute you will play. You would be the same person on here bitching if we played freshman who weren’t ready just to get them experience and it cost us games.

Huh? We’re literally led by a true freshman in the order while another true freshman is one of our top pitchers. If you are good enough you play. Simple as that

don't get your panties in a wad as I was just quoting CJJ from one of his pressers. This is a quote not conjecture. I never said he didn't play freshman - there are over 20 incoming freshman - just stating the obvious, or so I thought...
