"Economic ramifications of Israel/Iran conflict:
1. Oil prices could rise as high as $130/barrel, per JP Morgan
2. Iran currently produces 3.3 million barrels of oil per day, or ~3.5% of global supply
3. Oil at $130 would likely double US CPI inflation to ~5%
4. Interest rate cuts likely to be delayed further as a result
5. Strait of Hormuz shutdown seen as worst case scenario
Without immediate de-escalation of this conflict, the global economy shift."

We could simply not depend on that oil and open ours up. Our world doesn’t need to rely on them and others. Hence the tariffs

Anything for our greatest ally!!!

We don’t depend on that oil, Europe and Asia does. However, oil is an international market, so supply disruptions over there will inevitably cause prices to rise everywhere else.

If we opened up our own oil along with Canada we should all be paying a $1
Couldnt we also just be the worlds supplier raking in so much money

We don't depend on it now but other countries do. Oil is a world market hence why JP Morgan said prices could reach $130. Not to mention we couldn't fully replace Iran's supply and what we could increase would take months.
"If Iran's oil supply is disrupted, the U.S. has the capacity to partially replace it, but fully offsetting the loss would be challenging and depend on several factors. Iran produces around 3.3 million barrels per day (bpd), about 3% of global supply, with exports over 2 million bpd, mostly to China.
U.S. Capability:
The U.S. is the world's largest oil producer, with output around 13 million bpd in 2024, and has significant spare capacity. However, ramping up production quickly is constrained by infrastructure, investment, and logistics.
U.S. shale oil, primarily from the Permian Basin, can increase output, but scaling up by 2–3 million bpd would likely take months, not weeks, due to drilling and completion timelines.

It’s more open now than ever in history.
We’ve been setting production records for like 3 years running now.

Same JP Morgan predicted $100 - $180 oil if Russian Ukraine war happened. Last time I checked we had the war but never got close to the projections.

If monkeys could fly out......
They might as well have started the article with "sources say".....
China needs to worry not the rest of the world, and the rest of the middle east can take up that slack.
Straits of Hormuz.....didnt the houthis just beg the US to stop slapping their arses like a well used horse? Yeah they want no part of it, and since Iran cant even protect shat in their own town I doubt they will venture there either.

It's a global fungible commodity you retard
We're already a net exporter. That still doesn't change the calculus on prices.

Folks are so damn shortsighted......
Especially those infected with the ailment known as TDS.
Let's talk about the ramifications if Iran is allowed to obtain a nuclear weapon!
