Yea you’re definitely right. I was joking a bit. Bane is better than Trey but they are not that far apart. Just interesting what teams will pay when they think that guy is the last piece

Wow! Memphis didn’t even offer Orlando any lube as they bent them over. If Desmond Bane is worth that then holy shite what is Trey or Zion worth? Bane is a good player but I’m not giving up 4 1st and a swap for him.

Trey is probably worth either 3 firsts or a nice player and a nice 1st: Something like Jabari Smith Jr and pick 10.

Bane is the perfect fit for Orlando.
They gave up the 16th pick in a weak draft, suns pick they got for pennies and 2 late picks if they are good. Magic has a good core already in Wagner/Suggs/Banchero, they are able to take these risks.

It won’t last, they’re going to be a very expensive team soon, they have a 2 year window before they have to blow it up otherwise they will be like all these other teams stuck in mediocrity and can’t improve because they’ve traded away everything and are in the 2nd apron.
Bane is the final piece they can get, they don’t have any tradeable picks left
