The US was in the middle of nuclear negotiations with Iran.

The US and Iranian negotiators, and Omani mediator all said the talks were going well.

It makes zero sense to launch a pre-emptive strike, days before the 6th meeting of a series of negotiations which both sides agreed were progressing well.

If the negotiations were allowed to proceed and were ultimately successful, however, there wouldn't be any more pretext for decapitation strikes on Iran.

WASHINGTON, May 23 (Reuters) - U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff held more than two hours of talks with an Iranian delegation in Rome on Friday about Tehran's nuclear program and agreed to meet again in the near future, a senior U.S. official said.
"The talks continue to be constructive – we made further progress, but there is still work to be done. Both sides agreed to meet again in the near future. We are grateful to our Omani partners for their continued facilitation," the official said.

Iran sees hope for progress after fifth round of nuclear talks with US
23 May 2025

Negotiators for Iran and the United States have concluded a fifth round of talks, as mediator Oman said there was some limited progress in negotiations aimed at resolving a decades-long dispute over Tehran’s nuclear programme.

“The fifth round of Iran-US talks have concluded today in Rome with some, but not conclusive, progress,” said Omani mediator Badr al-Busaidi after Friday’s meeting at the Omani embassy in Rome’s Camilluccia neighbourhood.

“We hope to clarify the remaining issues in the coming days,” he said after the high-level talks, which were led by Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and US President Donald Trump’s Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff.

Araghchi told Iranian state television that the talks had been “one of the most professional rounds of negotiations” so far, noting that, while an agreement had not been reached, the Iranian side was “not discouraged”.

It's both. This regime is going to continue to pursue nuclear weapons and Israel knows eventually Americans will eventually elect another Democrat who will help them. They are going to try and fix the Iranian problem while Trump is in office.

Yep. That is why I have a huge problem with it.

Take out Iran's Nuclear Facilities= No Problem

Operation Regime Change in Iran which will require heavy U.S. Involvement and will be Iraq 2.0 on a bigger scale and become an absolute disaster= Absolutely fricking Not

You think people would have learned after all of the lies like WMD, but the media and intel machine are good at pushing propaganda.

Israel can handle both.

If the US does not help (and it's apparent we're not) and you are still against it, then you are for Iran pure and simple.

Whatever it is about, it doesn’t matter. Iran launched over 150 missiles and drones in April of 2024 and over 200 in October. It’s not preemptive. Stop lying and acting as if it’s unprovoked. I want no U.S. involvement, but what do you think would have happened had they done the same to us?

No they can not. They could not even handle taking out the Nuclear Facilities. The Neocon Warmongers like yourself will soon be calling for heavy U.S. Involvement

CIA has fricked up the world with regime changes.
When pay back comes, I hope it's limited to the DC area.

Exactly. Trying to see the downside to giving the people of Persia a fighting chance to get from underneath their overlords. Considering the other countries in the region even despise them so, Is there actually a worse alternative to the IRGC?

I don't trust socialists who were democrats 5 minutes ago.

There is no reason for Iran to pursue nuclear enrichment other than for weapons use. They are one fit he most oil rich countries on earth, they don't need nuclear energy. They want a bomb. They want Israel eradicated. Listen to them and they will tell you who they are.

Saudi Arabia is scared of Iran... Why? Because they know they're pursuing nuclear weapons to upset the balance of power in the Middle East. They know that once the Iranians nuke the Jews then the Sunni would be next.

Regime change has more to do with nuclear weapons than anything else.

On a scale of dumb to completely fricking retarded… where do you place yourself?
