Do you think Trumps original offer was better than what they got? Now Trump offers a second olive branch and they decide to take what’s coming down the pike instead.

If SFP were the father of a nation…

Best case scenario anyway is Israel wiping out the current Iranian regime. Seems to be heading that way quickly.

Islamist leaders that are left are reportedly scattering and trying to flee Iran.

Interesting. I guess it was wishful thinking that they wanted to negotiate.

I believe in their minds, if they take the olive branch, it shows weakness.

I dont think Iran has much of a play here. I hope Israel fricks that regime up.

Depends on what was on the table? I'm guessing that any "deal" was very one sided from their point of view . If they acquiesce to everything that the US and Israel wants, what do they get in return? Can they sell their oil on the open market? Do they have to wait until inspectors give the Good Housekeeping Stamp of Approval? How long does that take ? A year? Years? Decade or more? Does this mean that the U.S. underwrites their security since they would essentially cede their sovereignty to the inspectors who are no doubt going to be mostly Americans and probably Israelis?

Well we don’t know the specifics on the deal…but we now have insight into the alternative and that’s what they picked. Iranian leadership made the decision to see if Israel was bluffing…they got their answer and off we go!

How many broken agreements does it take to decide agreements don’t make peace?

I dont think it helps that the Supreme Leader is 86 and looks like he is 100, he has nothing to lose at this point. Too proud to be the ayatollah that admits defeat, which a deal would be
