Was Iran really months away from developing nuclear weapons?

They also said Iraq had WMDs so who knows if they have any credibility
In case you're wondering here is a video of Netanyahu claiming that Iran was months away from developing a nuclear weapon in 2012
He has been calling for regime change in Iran since 1996 (or possibly earlier)
What do we really know about Iran's alleged nuclear capabilities given that complete bullshite was fabricated about it previously

No, for the last 20 years, we’ve been told they’re months away from getting a nuclear weapon. Of course, they’ve never had anywhere near enough enriched uranium to acquire one, as weapons inspectors have explained. They have a third rate military and the country is poor as frick. Whatever response they have to this will be weak, and Bibi knows that. Also incredible that whatever evidence there supposedly was of Iran building nuclear weapons has now been taken out. But hey, Zionist propaganda is very effective, and their goal is to conquer all of the Middle East and perpetually expand settlements. They had us convinced Saddam had WMDs too.
