From what I can tell based on their post, this goes to charity. It's not simply a money grab unless I am understanding this wrong

Yes, they donate part of their earnings from Jell-O shots to different charities in the cities of teams in the CWS.

a "portion" of it goes to charity...Rocco's is not doing this for free

Each year, $1 of the $5 Jell-O shots goes to the schools' local food bank. Rocco's also donates another 50 cents of each shot to Omaha charities.

And Rocco's is probably paying 25 cents per prepackaged shot in bulk from their wholesalers. Still a hefty profit margin.

I was really disappointed about what went down back in 2023. Gordon called in and paid for $10,000 shots, he wasn’t actually there. It cheapens the entire thing

And they probably sell more than the serve

That’s how businesses operate.

The whole thing cheapens the whole thing. It is not a drinking competition. Adults don’t order Jell-O shots. The stupid tally board is what makes it a phenomenon.

They donate $1.00 from every $5.00 jello shot to a local food bank.
