Trump has reduced the Democrats to dogs playing tug-of-war against Trump. Their platform is a nonsensical collection of ideologies that are solely crafted to be against anything Trump has done.
Every candidate vies for who can be the most Anti-Trump
Open Borders
No riot control
Men in girl's sports
Once Trump is gone, this is the only identity they have left.

If we cut off the AID money and had in person only / paper ballot voting, Dems would never win another presidential election. (That’s without reforming their party back toward the center left and I don’t think they’re capable.)

I mean, it is, but they have been doing this for decades. Remember GW Bush was also a dictator when the Florida recount happened, and they have been calling R's fascists since then as well. It's just escalated over time to a boiling point. It won't simmer with Trump gone, it will just be replaced by the next one to run.

That's really what I was getting at. He's on limited time. Hell, he's an old man and won't be along even as an ex-president forever. They are so hell bent on tugging the chewtoy against him that they have lost all sight of the world.
He of course knows this and can lead them off a cliff.
But they have nothing really left without him.

This cycle won’t end any time soon even with Trump out of the picture. The Democrats will base their whole platform on being anti-Trump and the next Republican candidate is going to try to cater to Trump’s fanbase, because despite being a small percentage of the country, they actually go out and vote.

Protests and calling people hitler.... vs umpteen thousand lawsuits, felonies, at least two assasination attempts and ramped up lawfare for every presidential action.. well, it just simply doesn't begin to equate.
