The list is pretty bad

That list is comedy gold

Dynamic meaning makes ridiculous athleticism play again and again, I could see a list similar to this. Those 5 guys were absolute walking highlight reels (unless Manziel played LSU
).

Jackson didn’t do too well vs them either

They've got Percy Harvey up here, but not Tim Tivo? Sounds like jive to me

Wild that PP7 isn't on that list with his ability as a CB and returner.

That Chavis "contain in the pocket and make them throw to beat you" strategy worked really well in college against these guys because our DBs were so strong.

A great secondary and/or a great DL can make almost any defensive scheme work well

I don't know if anybody will agree but...
1998 Florida WR Travis McGriff was an absolute menace to SEC defenses.
11 Games
70 Catches
1357 yards
13 TDs (10 receiving/ 1 rushing/ 2 passing)

There's no universe where Marcus Lattimore, even with his injuries, shouldn't be on this list.
He should be in over Austin, Cook, and maybe McCaffery. He was unstoppable.

I think 2000 is the cutoff

I know but I just remembered him. He was a beast.

Our DL wouldn't really try to get upfield and get to the passer against these guys. They'd plug gaps and the ends would contain the edges to prevent scrambling outside the pocket, often rushing 5 to create that wall around the pocket. Forced them to throw and they couldn't do that successfully because of tight windows with our secondary.
Chavis was solid at LSU, despite the hatred for him, but his bread and butter was this scenario.

Jayden Daniels not even on the list lol

I mean it’s not really. These guys were walking highlight reals. Only thing I’d argue is maybe Tebow deserving to be on there.

18. Darren Sproles, RB, Kansas State

surpassed 1,900 yards rushing as a junior in 2003.
Melvin Gordon had just shy of 2,600 in 2014, including one game where he rushed for 408 yards in 3 quarters.

able to sustain 306 carries
Gordon rushed it 343 times.
quote:
while also hauling in 25 receptions,
Gordon had 19.
Gordon also had 7.5 yards per attempt to Sproles 6.5 yards per attempt, and Gordon scored almost TWICE as many TDs...32 to Sproles' 18. Gordon was basically a cheat code his junior season.
List is lazy.

This.
LSU fans will immediately think it's a slight to leave Burrow off the list. But as you see, there are no "pro style" QBs on the list (even though Burrow could run when needed).
Daniels being left off, on the other hand, is a big miss. Particularly when Jackson is on the list at No. 4.
In their Heisman winning seasons Daniels (in one fewer game):
had ~ 300 more passing yards
10 more passing TDs
had only 1 less overall TDs (51 - 50)
had a MUCH higher completion % 72% comapred to 56%
had a MUCH higher QB rating. 208 - 149.
The only stat Jackson was significantly ahead rushing yards...by about 400 yards.
If Jackson is on the list at No. 4....then Daniels should, AT MINIMUM, be on the list.
