Bit of a dark horse here, but Kilgrave was terrifying because he looked human, but it was obvious he lacked something that makes people fundamentally human. So well acted, the confusion on his face during certain parts when he didn't even realize what he was doing was wrong was just so mentally jarring.

Kilgrave was so interesting. At first his powers seemed kind of lame. But once you saw how he could manipulate people, it got pretty damn intense.
