Not to be a judgmental arse, but the kind of parents that don't plan for their children's future in some way or another are probably the same kind that would rob that piggy bank blind.

Fantastic initiative, more tools to reverse the demographic issue (Vance will win big on pronatalism). Based on historical returns, would be a little under $40k by the time the child becomes an adult and is able to pull from it (age 35).
Now imagine if the country would bite the bullet on social security and reform it to something similar…

I would prefer if they did it through the SWF Trump is setting up, and put it into the market through that. Having this as just tracking the market makes it significantly more expensive than it needs to be.

This. Hungary had the right idea with increasing tax breaks to taxpaying families having children. Don't give this money to the children, as it doesn't help the middle class families worried about the cost of having a child. And definitely don't give it to families/single mothers that get large refunds come tax season. The incentives needed to increase the US birthrate should focus heavily on MARRIED couples making a combined ~$80-250k.
