Game 1 vs Arky decides this tourney.

3 top 8 seeds left. 2 of them being us and Arky, play each other Saturday night.

If we win this first game, we will hoist the trophy in Omaha. Mark my words, we will win the CWS if/when we beat Arky. Good luck to anyone trying to come out of the loser's bracket to beat us twice against our current arms. And good luck to anyone who thinks they can beat us in a best 2/3 format with our 3 starters.

Once again, I'll be in Omaha, once again, I'll be 18 jello shots and 42 beers deep.

BEAT ARKY AND WE WIN THIS THING BAWS TIGERS WILL HOIST THE TROPHY IN 2025!

It definitely doesn’t decide the tournament but whoever wins will have to be feeling good about their chances

Lots of ball left to be played after game 1

If we beat Arky our chances increase significantly. Look at who we lost to in the regional, the worst team on paper in the field. Games aren’t played on paper.

I see LSU winning their first two and likely first three games. The offense must come through.

The mood swings this board goes through

Went from firing everyone because we were about to get knocked out of the regionals by Little Rock to now crowning us as champions if we win the first game in Omaha.

If you truly think that, you've learned nothing from what these past two weekends have taught us.

There's no dominant team this year, anyone can beat anyone.

I feel like our chances of making the CWS finals goes to 80% or 10% depending on whether we win or lose.

Absolutely massive game

12 times a team has dropped game 1 in Omaha to come back and win the World Series.

74 tournaments with this format, since 1950.

Oregano State is the most recent team to do it. They lost game 1 to UNC.

Lol go look at my posts on here. I don't go through mood swings. I support LSU and am confident and have been confident.

Don't group me into the rest of the board. Not everyone has to think alike. Clown boi.

Genuinely curious what you mean by this format since 1950?

It was a traditional 8 team double elimination tournament based on the winner of 8 six team regionals in 1980's.

In the late 80's/early 90's the format was tweaked to two 4 team double elimination brackets with a winner take all championship bracket when CBS bought the rights to a championship game. In early 2000's the championship series was introduced when ESPN bought the rights back.
