But this WV team is scrappy and can hit. Did pretty well against our 1a pitcher and never gave up after our big inning. I still feel great with Eyanson on the mound, but this team isn’t going to lay down for anyone. Hope we can get it done tomorrow as I don’t want to see them hit against whatever we would throw on Monday.

anderson had a rough day after thinking break and normally we would have pulled him.

with a leas that size it was about finishing the game.

Anderson is competitive, but Eyanson is a totally different animal out there. He thrives on this stuff. You can see it. I think Anthony is going to be ready.

Was it him not having his stuff or were they good at the plate? And they out hit us… if it wasn’t for 13 free bags by their pitching staff, may have been a different game. But hey, that’s baseball and we made them pay. I just feel like that team can hit and plays hard. Still wouldn’t trade places with them lol

Johnson sent Schmidt out there for a reason. He will need to do something in Omaha if they get there.

I think the long inning is hard and Anderson had 2 strikes a few times. I thought he was squeezed a little on that back door breaking ball
Or it wasn’t catching the back black like normal.

No. Johnson is trying to build Schmidt for next year. He will not pitch a meaningful inning for us the rest of this season. He's in there to eat innings during blowouts.

I don’t ever agree with most bs fans spew on here. I’m positive when most are negative. All I was trying to insinuate is that this WV team is better than what the final indicated. Wasn’t trying to take anything away from our guys.. they played great and did everything asked of them.

When we were up the pitch calling changed.
It went to pound the zone and use your defense.

Stop overthinking every single thing.

Just like folks called Jay a fool for his lineup pregame and you were wrong. You are wrong with this.

If the bats can stay warm, we can win it all!

Nothing at all against Anderson, but Eyanson is a bulldog out there. He seems to thrive under pressure. We are in good hands tomorrow.

And he can barely do that. His lack of control is pretty disappointing
