It’s supposed to be taboo to say, but Curiel is on pace to be another Dylan Crews

I mean at this point it’s obvious. He’s another generational player that we were lucky to get to campus.

If he keeps doing what he’s doing I don’t see how that’s taboo. Still a long way to go with lots of consistency, but he’s def looking like him at this point.

Facts should not be taboo.

And there’s more coming

Let's not forget about Schmidt
As a reminder, Kade Anderson had a 28ERA last year against conference opponents
Schmidt will be a star next year next to Derek

I don’t remember Crews running into a slump. But it was a long time ago.

Most overused phrase in sports commentary.
Generational player means once in a generation.
It’s only the second season past crews and that’s because he left as a junior

Crews did hit a little bit of a freshman wall, but it didn’t last long, just like Curiel.

I’m trying to forget him every chance I get. Until he gets some movement on his pitches he is going to mightily struggle

Idk why anyone would think otherwise. Hes “LSU GENERATIONAL” player. We are lucky to have him.

Yeah. He could have used better phrasing. We seem to have a generational talent every 3-5 years.
And with Curriel leaving next year, he won’t have time to get to Crews level. But he looks great to start. Like Crews and Bregman.

Except that Crews hit for a higher average and belted 10 more homers.
Crews hit the baseball so hard. I guarantee Crews’ freshman exit velocity on most seeing’s was much higher that Curiel’s.
And I do believe that Curiel is great. Crews was just on another level.

Bad thing is Curiel is a draft eligible Sophomore, so he won’t be here 3 years like Crews.
