Best year I have ever had fighting this weed. Simple spot spraying has done well. Maybe the hard freeze/snow knocked it down?

I have a fair amount popping up. Hitting it with MSM, but it’s only supposed to control 70%. I’ll keep spot checking it with MSM and then when the weather cools in the fall, hit it with Weed Free Zone which is supposed to kill it.

If you are consistent with pre emerge you should see a decline of it but by no means rid of it. It hasn't yet hit time for it to peak.

It’s a perennial and to my knowledge no pre emergent is labeled for it.

Sounds like you’ve been fighting the good fight for years. Seems like it’s paying off. The key is to start spraying in May every year.

Correct, there is no pre-emergent for it.

My notes say:
MSM and Certainty kills 70%
Celsius needs 2 rounds to kill
Weed Free Zone kills

With all this rain we’re getting, you’d better not declare victory yet.

I’m trying tank mixing Celsius and MSM this year. I have dove weed and VBW to contend with. Celsius has been a bit disappointing to me with the VBW.

Some of mine laughed at the Celsius WG. It's reckoning day here for round 2.

Agreed. Spurge on the other hand in my yard is out of control. I feel like I'm going to have to spot spray Celsius 2x per week for the entire summer.

I feel spot spraying in the best method....I keep a gallon made up in the sprayer handy and walk the yard once every 2-3 weeks....working for me right now. August will be the test.

Started in early MAY, spot sprayed twice, and have zero VBW right now.

Spot spray MSM. Try to walk around the yard once a week. Try not to go beyond 2 weeks. That thing is a pain in the butt! Seems like it’s been worse this for some reason.
