I think the starter for WV is a LHP so makes some sense Curiel isn’t batting well against lefty’s

It’s been officially posted on FB and X.

Suprised to see Curiel moved down after a strong regional. The rest seems fine.

Guess Jay doesn’t trust Curiel to lead off against a lefty

Don’t know what Pearson has done lately to be batting first. I trust the short tinkering man tho

Is Pearson batting better against lefties? He is a lefty, too.

He hasn’t had a ton of playing time lately, but he’s a much better option than Brown vs a LHP who tends to go deep in games. Brown can always PH if we chase him.

hitting lefties and runs the bases well. May get pinch hit for if/when we can get to righty.

Yeah that’s what I was thinking. Through out the season Pearson was sitting against lefties and JJ decides to start him lead off in game 1 of a Super Regionals. In Jay we trust but still scratching my head.

You want a lefty to bat against a righty logically.

Not true. Brown sits vs LHP. Pearson hits LHP pretty well. But I'm now curious to see Curiel's numbers vs LHP because I didn't think it was that bad
