Baseball getting almost as bad as football with these transfers and Money

Mikey Ryan has entered the portal.
He was your future shortstop
Costello your future 1b
Hogg another future starter
These players were rated PG (perfect game) 10 which is a 5 star in football terms .
I just don't get why these players will not stay at a program and be trained. And why not compete for a starting job. You're at the greatest college program in the world and you want to go somewhere else.
I guess we have to donate more money to keep these players on campus. Mississippi state is about to back the truck up, so we have to compete with them also. This includes texas in texas, a& m, and Tennessee . I hate bad news on game day.

Calm down, also, LSU is probably the most tampering school out there in the baseball portal world. Now I don't give a frick about it, so what, do whatever LSU has to do, but don't judge these kids or other schools.

That sucks, especially for the game, but at least at a place like LSU, we should be able to go and grab a capable 1 year rental at any position every year if need be. I wish we could develop our own talent but just today's environment where people don't want to stick around and they have other schools that will pay them

Was hoping Mikey would hang on but I understand. CJJ talks in every podcast that experience is the best teacher and it is...he just didn't get the young guys any and by his own philosophy they will be in same predicament next season - no experience.

Rosters are shrinking for baseball. I'm pretty sure if Jay felt any of these guys were can't miss they'd still be Tigers.

Only thing I don’t understand is True Freshmen transferring after one year. The expectations to start as a true freshmen astounds me.

Yep. Guys like Curiel are absolutely the exception. Larson and Milam started last year out of necessity and Larson hit a major wall late in the season and postseason.

one of my buddies knows Ryan's family an he said the family just did not trust CJJ to give him a fair chance next year and if he paid a transfer the transfer would get the nod. One thing I know for sure LSU don't play about they $$$ if you spend it they want to see what they paid for....so I get that

You go where you can get on the field. That’s really all that matters.

Today guys like Frey are a rarity. If guys arent playing much by their sophomore year, the writing is on the wall.
