Not much that’s gets the juices flowing more than scheduled first pitch at 10am. Poor Louisville and Miami fans.

You probably did, and overlooked the fact that it was listed as 2:00 EDT.

Well, they are in the EDT zone, so it's 11:00. Still early though.

For a sticky, though, again.
Thanks for the thread, again.

ETA - damn, looks like I was too late and it was already stickied while I was making the post.

Since we’re being educational on the Rant today, it’s Daylight Saving Time - no ‘S’ at the end of the “Saving”.

Me too. I asked grok for more info on US time zones:

The proper abbreviations for U.S. time zones, based on standard usage, are as follows:

- **Eastern Time (ET)**: Eastern Standard Time (EST) when standard time is in effect; Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) during daylight saving time.
- **Central Time (CT)**: Central Standard Time (CST); Central Daylight Time (CDT).
- **Mountain Time (MT)**: Mountain Standard Time (MST); Mountain Daylight Time (MDT).
- **Pacific Time (PT)**: Pacific Standard Time (PST); Pacific Daylight Time (PDT).
- **Alaska Time (AKT)**: Alaska Standard Time (AKST); Alaska Daylight Time (AKDT).
- **Hawaii Time (HT)**: Hawaii Standard Time (HST). Hawaii does not observe daylight saving time, so no HDT exists.
- **Samoa Time (ST)**: Samoa Standard Time (SST), used in American Samoa.
- **Chamorro Time (ChT)**: Chamorro Standard Time, used in Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands, with no daylight saving time.

**Notes**:
- These abbreviations are widely used in the U.S. per NIST and other standard references.
- Daylight saving time typically starts the second Sunday in March and ends the first Sunday in November, except in areas like most of Arizona and Hawaii, which don’t observe it.
- If you’re dealing with specific contexts (e.g., programming, aviation), let me know, as formats might vary slightly!
