Where would he fit in the rotation if he stayed….Sunday starter?

To play with his brother. His brother was on the Bham Southern team that got disbanded and then walked on at Auburn.

This staff with Guidry, Sheerin, and this version of Dutton would be amazing.

Idk he wasn't that good here. Jay clearly saw the talent because he kept using him and tried to make him a starter his first year here when all we had was Hilliard. Obviously the Auburn staff was able to get more out of him. We don't know that he would've figured it out here

He just gave up a monster home run, I mean a shot

Obviously worked out for both programs.

He’s an Auburn kid who came to LSU for the name.
He’s a year older and all of that, but something there to be said about motivation - at least more so than better coaching.

Our staff could be the best in the country if he stayed the way he’s pitched this year. He’s only issued 18 walks in 16 starts which is where we’ve struggled most once you get into our pen

He is number one starter for auburn, good decision, give it a rest. Don’t be an idiot. End of story

He wasn't good here. He clearly needed a change of scenery.

He developed an out pitch. That's the difference. Whether you credit the Auburn staff or Dutton, he'd still be largely ineffective without the curve ball he started throwing this year.

Moon shot #2 just left the yard

Looks like he did a cycle. He looks bigger than he did at LSU.

Did it really work out for lsu? Seems like he could be helping a lot

He’s also jacked/muscular now, which can’t hurt.

Well we have the 2nd lowest ERA in the SEC this year so we turned out ok. And there’s no telling if he would be as efficient for us as he has been for Auburn. Sometimes guys just need a change of scenery.

Not if he was the same as previous years.

Kind of glad he’s still not here by the looks of things
