I see you are going the pay more taxes to keep the deficit lower. How about the make citizens produce more to where they do not pull from the pot and actually add. While doing so, let the tariffs make up the rest. You will say tariffs are a tax. Well yeah they are but more like a consumption tax. Everybody pays. In country business gets boosted which increases tax revenue and less money leaving the country. It is simple economics.
