The bat they are sharing is hot!

Our best of the best is getting beat by one team all sharing the same bat. I think they have a 34 and 33.5… they hand it off between batters. Looks like a middle school team when a kid brings a new bat and everyone uses it.
That bat needs to be ping tested… hot bats take 3 failed tests before it is removed… test the darn thing three times today before 8pm.

That bat is so hot our pitchers last night were scared to throw strikes, leading to 11 walks.

They had 8 hits last night, its not like they mashed 
We walked 11 and had 4 wild pitches, thats why we lost on top of not any timely hitting after the 1st

They would have scored 3 or 4 runs through mid-game last night without the walks. If that happens, the 8th inning wouldn’t have played out like it did, as Cowan or Evans would have been in to close the game or hold a tie, not Mayers and Rizy tripping over themselves.
As a few others have said, the walks and the 12 men left on base were the game. That’s literally giving it away. It’s the equivalent of trying to win a football game with 5+ turnovers. ANYONE can beat you when you play like that.

This. I'm not sure why people don't understand that 11 walks that lead directly to 8 runs will lose 99% of games for any team.

Add in the 11 batters left stranded, with the bases loaded twice and we didnt put up a single run?

If you paid attention several of our hitters were using the same bat. Doesn't make difference what you use if you can’t barrel it up right.

The Umpire calling balls, is why LSU is playing today. The most likely scenario is TV money. But yeah test the bat.
