Hey travel peeps. Long story short I have a $600 credit with Spirit that I have to use. Looking to take the wife (no pics) and two year old somewhere this Fall/Winter.

These are the direct flight destinations out of NOLA with Spirit. I’m not too high on any of these places, but want to try to stick with a direct flight since we’ll have the toddler with us. If you had to pick a city below what would you choose? Don’t think we’re ready for Disney yet.

TIA

Domestic Nonstop Destinations
• Atlanta, GA (ATL) – 2 daily flights
• Chicago-O’Hare, IL (ORD) – 4x weekly
• Dallas-Fort Worth, TX (DFW) – daily
• Detroit, MI (DTW) – 4x weekly
• Fort Lauderdale, FL (FLL) – 3x daily
• Houston-Intercontinental, TX (IAH) – 4x weekly
• Las Vegas, NV (LAS) – daily
• Los Angeles, CA (LAX) – 1–2x daily
• Miami, FL (MIA) – 4x weekly
• Newark, NJ (EWR) – 4x weekly
• Orlando, FL (MCO) – 3x daily
• San Juan, Puerto Rico (SJU) – 3x weekly
• Tampa, FL (TPA) – daily ?

I have taken one of them and that was Las Vegas.
My other choice would be New York (Newark).

And stay at the embassy suites on the beach.

5 minutes
From historic downtown.

Free bikes, breakfast Buffett, drinks in the evening.

Nice restaurant, had a little one man band a few nights, nice pool deck and outside area.

Highly recommend

If you are thinking fall (Thanksgiving or earlier), then I would consider Tampa. I've been Thanksgiving week on Clearwater Beach and the weather was still great. There's the marine aquarium, and then you can try out Busch Gardens and see how the little one does in a big theme park.

I know Puerto Rico hasn't fully recovered from Hurricane Maria, but a winter trip to San Juan sounds great. Old city is a wonderful and lots of good beach and warm water in the winter which you can't get in any of those other locations.

Thank y’all for the feedback. I’ll look in to St. Aug. Ft. Lauderdale looks like a cool little hidden gem as well.
