How many home runs would guys like Alex bregman, Mason Katz, and Kade scivicque would have with the bats today as opposed to the deadened bats

meh, play with the cards you're dealt, I think Todd Walker could hit with a match stick but those bats in his day were absolutely ridiculous, anything near the barrel with minimal contact was going out

people were hitting home runs then
Andrew Benitendi hit 20 in 2015.
Bregman hit 8.
they were super dead in 2013 though

I think bregman gets at least 20, so does Katz, and scivicque gets at least 15
Also I think Mikie mahtook gets 20 in 2011

Tyler Hanover hit in 5 homers in 2009 as a freshman and in 2010 he hit 2 as a sophomore prior to then deadening the bats
His junior and senior years he hit 1 total homer
The deadened bats was so stupid

Kris Bryant hit 31 in 2013. In hindsight, that is mind boggling.

I agree that was honestly impressive
Bryant had such a good start to his mlb career and he’s completely fell off

It was Maineiri’s best era
He thrived on hit and run and situational hitting
His pitchers could throw to contact

Which is why I prefer Jay or Skip
They embrace the gorilla ball and that to me is the most enjoyable form of baseball

The better question is “would Aaron Nola had as low of an ERA today?” Honestly, pitching to contact is what the greats do and he took advantage of that plus had elite command.

According to the metrics, the “sweet spot” of a bbcore has a 17% more trampoline effect than a wooden bat. And a 5% more trampoline effect from sweet spot to tip, and from handle to sweet spot.
So essentially, anything hit outside the sweet spot is basically a wooded bat.
So hitters that have great bat handling skills will hit more on the sweet spot and of course hit more bombs. So I would think a player like Bregman would have best results.

How many popups would the Jordan twins have with these bats?

Why do some use composite bats and some alloy?
Serious question.
I see a bunch of Rawlings composite bats and a bunch of Marucci alloy.
I’d think composite is hotter. What am I missing?
