Time to get ready. Get your lists out. Check that generator. Portable AC unit. Fresh gas. Trimming trees close to the house. Clean gutters.

At least the gulf temperatures are a little cooler than last year. Hopefully that keeps any storms that form less powerful.

Since losing my home to Hurricane Laura in 2020, every summer my stomach is in knots. Always think about heading more north but then its snow, hail and tornadoes.
