Happy Gilmore 2 Trailer is out

And man….. it looks fricking awful. Just a bunch of callbacks to jokes from the other movie (Ben Stiller saying “you’re in my world now grandson” and Happy telling Shooter “Why would I care about someone who eats pieces of shite for breakfast”)
Looks like Virginia is dead, Happy is poor again and still driving his old car around living in a shitty house that’s not Grandma’s, he has to be good at golf again so his daughter can go to ballet school and Jon Daily is the “wacky crazy” celebrity uncle that Sandler puts in all his movies now.
Mr Larson’s son is so strong he crushed a golf ball! Just like Mr. Larson bent Shooter’s 9 iron in the first movie! Remember that guys??! So funny!! Holy shite did you see Happy hit himself in the balls?! So funny! Hey did you see Happy break Chubbs’s son’s wooden hand just like he did in the first movie?? So fricking funny y’all!!
But like i predicted a few months ago, looks like when he visits Chubbs grave, Shooter is there and they will fight but then make up because they find out they both actually loved and cared for Chubbs. Shooter will then be redeemed by helping Happy learn to play golf again, Happy gets the money for his daughter and he rides off into the sunset with a new friend that was just misunderstood for so long.
Just a sad, pathetic cash grab just like Joe Dirt 2 was. Totally unnecessary sequel.

I have a dissenting opinion.
It looks like it will be a silly and fun Netflix watch which is all I want from it. There are worse ways to spend 90 minutes.

I liked the teaser. This looks bad.

A stupid call back to the old movie with dumb jokes and a bunch of celebrity cameos?!?!?!?!?
Sounds like exactly what I thought

I mean, tell me how this trailer looks any worse than the first film?

It's too bad Jackie Mason wasn't around to be in this

Doesn’t look too bad. I expected worse.

This trailer tells me that it's 2 hours of rehashed jokes. No thanks.

Not having Will Zalatoris play the grown former caddie will be a big miss.
Movie will prob suck but be worth watching and a few laughs for old nostalgic reasons.

"WHO THE HELL IS HAPPY GILMORE"

It looks really bad. Hollywood needs to let sleeping dogs lie. They don't need to beat every movie into the ground with a bad sequel 30 years later

Are we sure that wasn't him? I couldn't tell in the trailer.

Yes, Will Zalatoris is in "Happy Gilmore 2". He is playing the role of Happy Gilmore's caddie in the sequel.

Are you expecting it to be a good movie? Come on! It is what it is. A fricking comedy. If you think it sucks then don’t fricking watch it. Some on here don’t seem to get that. DON’T frickING WATCH IT!

This is the correct response.
We all love Happy Gilmore, Big Daddy, Billy Madison.
But to think they are anything but stupid low brow humor is ridiculous.

Pretty harsh lol. These movies aren’t made to win awards, just entertainment. That trailer looked funny to me. Like another person said, just grab some popcorn and enjoy the nostalgia

These extremely belated comedy sequels are like 0/50 in being good.
This one will not break the streak. Looks pathetically lazy.

The trailer pretty much spoils every punchline in the movie. I'm sure it would be more enjoyable had I not watched that.
