I've made several hunts in Vermillion and Cameron parishes, and we've had a solid season.

Up in Red River Parish, the hunting has been less than spectacular. The biggest haul my dad and I brought in this season was 10.

Didn't get to hunt as much as I wanted. Hunted in Ascension Parish a couple of times with no success, except woodies. One decent trip to Venice. The deer hunting sucked too. Been doing pretty good on the specks though and am about to start chasing the bass.

Good season in Jones area...but trailed off badly in the last two weeks.

I hunted one week in Mexico and as usual it was awesome. Hunted the family farm in St. Martin Psh three times and limited out each time. My season was good but I don't know if it is indicative of anything.

We had a 2 week period around New Years where we limited out everyday. The 1st split sucked balls and it kinda fizzled toward the end, but all in all we had a good year. 400+ ducks, 100 geese, 850 Bud Lights, 4 1/2 gallons of Charter, 1 bottle of Boone's out of my blind..

Pecan/ Forked Island has been great. My dad has limited out all but 1 trip and has gone out about 15 or 20 times.

Glad to hear about the good times. Nothing like killing ducks and having your chessie fetch'em up. I guess you cant use dogs much down there due to the gators. Just kidding. Louisiana is one of the best places to hunt. Wish I was there.
