We took 3 out of 4 from the 1st place Mariners? Better get swept by the A's so we dont stray too far from .500. People dont think it be like it is but it do.

Week in review:
- 17 consecutive games came to an end finishing 10-7. Won some we should have lost, and lost some we should have won
- Steinbrenner Field is basically a little league park. Balls flying out left and right that were HR in 1/30 ballparks which helped lead to our 2 losses on the road
- Team has not won any of their last 7 road series. Very worrisome given the opponents in some of those series
- E-sock hit 4 dingers this week
- Took 3 out of 4 vs Seattle. Should've been a sweep (thanks, Bryan Abreu)
- 4 straight quality starts for Frambaw. With all of the arm injuries, I'm almost positive the team doesn't deal him at the 31 July deadline
- Double digit hits in all 4 games vs Seattle. Don't remember the last time I've seen that, but it could be a sign of better days for our offense. I won't get my hopes up though
- Cam Smith continues to put the bat on the ball and he's a menace on the basepath
- ICYMI Cocksuck hit a walk-off HR on Sunday
- Lots of rumors swirling of either Brice Matthews or Shay Whitcomb being called up. Can't say I agree with Whitcomb given he has one of the worst gloves I've ever seen. Not sure how accurate the rumors are though. Regardless, I believe Chas’ time as an Astros is coming to an end relatively soon
- TK and Julia will be back with the broadcast team today after a few days off
- Chandler if you're reading this, you're still a bitch
Injury updates:
- Yordan is hitting in the cage and running the bases. No timetable for return
- Luis Garcia has started throwing off a mound again
- Ronel Blanco is dead. 2nd opinion this week which = Tommy John. See you in 2027
Looking ahead:
2 games vs Sacramento A's
4 games vs Tampa Bay Rays
Another off-day next Monday

This cannot be said enough.

Matthews does nothing for me. He's hitting .235 with just 8 extra base hits and a 29% k rate in AAA. Seems like another Pedro Leon situation. He's getting on base at a good rate, takes some walks. But this lineup doesnt need another toolsy, low average big strikeout singles hitter.

I laugh at the A's because on the MLB app they are just called "Athletics". I'm guessing that MLB doesn't want the city of Sacramento to "stain" their image since they are so desperate to get that team to Las Vegas.

When in the course of a game would a player hit and run more on the bases than he did in the cage or in practice?
So why not get in the batter's box?

I thought I read Javier was also throwing off the mound and could return late July or August as well. That probably means he is in hospice care knowing the Astros medical team.

Definitely like seeing Altuve go opposite field.

Team leading HR hitter Jeremy Peña

It took 16 pitches for Roebuck to get the first two outs including 10 pitches to get Jake. Then the roof caved in. It's crazy what good comes from grinding at bats (Yainer will never do that but he got a hit, too).

Theyre never gonna let us face a lefty starter again.
