College Baseball bubble teams

Curious to see who gets left out with a few bids stolen over the last couple days. I found it interesting that Texas A&M still has the 13th best odds at winning the national championship at +4000. You would think there’s no possible way they make the field but Vegas thinks they still have a chance.

If they get in they can win

Anything is possible I guess. Look at what Ole Miss did a couple years ago. They don’t deserve to get in though imo.

Half the SEC is hosting regionals… it’s the strongest conference in history
They beat LSU 2/3

Agreed, but they wouldn’t even have made the SEC tournament in previous years. Their season is done. They had to win the SECT.

Yes I too am appalled that a tv broadcast was infatuated with a guy who left a game the day before after being hit in the hand with a pitch, returned to the dugout in a cast, was diagnosed with a broken finger, had surgery the same day and returned to the lineup the next day with his teams season on the line, only to drive in multiple runs.
Some of you are absolutely ridiculous.

They won’t make the tournament. Futures odds on big early season favorites are “sticky”, meaning that they are very slow to move to reflect the underachieving performance of said early season favorite. Books can do this because they aren’t offering the opposite line of A&M NOT winning the CWS. They’ll still gladly take your money on A&M.
Fans commonly make the mistake of using current futures odds to rank order the “best” teams. Because of examples listed above and other factors, that’s simply not the case.

A&M was the biggest disappointment of a team in recent memory, however if they get in the regional host they are in will be majorly pissed.

A team that won’t make the tournament but is still getting betting action is an pretty easy win for sportsbooks

I was hoping Southeastern got in

Not surprised they kissed the SEC’s arse and let either Kentucky or A&M in.

Kentucky got in, A&M didn’t

SLU shot themselves in the foot with the poor tournament AT HOME.

As did UTRGV
Both could've had a solid at-large argument from the Southland & both blew it on their home fields
