GOP are also corrupt.. not nearly as corrupt as democrats but their hands are also in the pot collecting free money. Having said that.. his 120 day contract has ended and it sounds to me that he did what he was supposed to do.

He’s a great American Hero for everything he did for MAGA

Accelerated GDP growth = "more productivity" = more 3rd world migration and H1B abuse

Hooray...

He did great work. Took a lot of heat for it.

Probably feels like all for naught.

I'd be frustrated too

The all on podcast said the same thing. We need to grow our way out. They need to approve the nuclear energy

Poor Elon still thinks there is a path out it this. There isn't. Washington DC is lost. It's going to eventually spiral out of control.

I don't know how many times you have to see corruption in the GOP to figure out that there isn't any moral high ground here

They're both equally terrible and only simpletons convince themselves otherwise

I'm glad he's not apathetic... it takes courage and optimism to bring about change. It is lovely to see that some souls still have it.

The GOP Congress and Senate suck arse Elon, and always have disappointed and under delivered.

I despise them a lot. They only trip into doing something meaningful but they govern against the will of the people and preserve the status quo.

Yeah he has painfully realized that there is zero political appetite on either side to get out of this.

So the question becomes, what should people focus on acquiring, knowing this will never be paid.

Dont blame him a bit.

He and DOGE have taken so much flak for those worthless frickers and they refuse to codify the savings they've identified.

Correct, there are a LOT of wishful thinkers and naive Americans who truly believe that we are too big to fail. The debt we currently have is a bill that will never be paid much less future debts on top of that. If we paid every dime the nation earned as a whole in GDP it wouldn’t pay our current debt. Our current debt payment is just covering the interest not even touching the actual amount. Even if we doubled that roughly 900 billion dollars to 1.8 trillion towards the debt only 900 billion would go towards the actual debt which would require 30 years of no additional debt and increased interest.

It already is. We’re a morally and financially bankrupt country. Moody’s is downgrading our credit rating and they’re about to start jacking up interest on the 10, 20, and 30 year notes. Washington will ultimately keep financing more debt until no country wants the dollar anymore. And people keep voting for that. Meanwhile, many citizens are angry, and many people are downright depraved. The crazy shite we saw in 2020-2021 is just the start to how bad political violence could get, especially if/when hyperinflation and a crackup occurs. Where we’re headed in the next 25-50 years isn’t anywhere good, and it’s probably too late to fix it. That’s why I’m a huge proponent of the whole “National Divorce” movement.

If only congress and the president would push for a bill with cuts found by DOGE. Imagine if the lackeys held the president accountable for pushing for a bad BBB (big beautiful? Or build back better? Can hardly tell the difference). Other than Massie, I don’t see many people trying to get cuts

Ain't going to happen. To whatever degree we can deliver growth, congress and a compliant chief executive will spend $1.5 for every incremental new $1. It's not like growing the economy solves the actual problem.

The GOP are as incompetent as we've seen them to be for the past 40 years. If not more.

He didn’t understand politics. Most all politicians only give a frick about themselves. The entire liberal conservative, left right fight is a well orchestrated cover story or illusion designed to keep the public from seeing the ball and what’s really going on.

Politicians are bought and sold from both parties by the mega elite like you and I buy six packs of Coke or beer. I know this personally because I’ve been fricking involved with it.

While we sit and fight over gay marriage and trans kids in high school sports and all this other bullshite three major companies now collectively own over 90% of the wealth in this country or the S&P 500 and I bet there’s not 20 people on this board that what I’m talking about.

Vanguard, Blackrock and state street own over 90% of the S&P 500. Many of you on here it may actually have mutual funds with these entities, but please tell me the last time any of these companies ask you your opinion on anything.

I’m not anti-capitalist or anything of that nature but the reality is we don’t have a functioning democracy. We have the illusion of democracy, but in fact a complete oligarchy run by a handful of people. And we don’t have a free market system with robust competition among multi parties. We have complete monopoly and almost every sector where they can charge whatever they want and do whatever they want without any recourse whatsoever, so they do.

All of us together on the board, even if we have half dozen billionaires, don’t mean shite to them. “They are beyond the power of any country to regulate or control” actual quote from lobbyist in movie “the corporation” from many years ago.

They control everything you see and can do, what you pay for everything, what you are allowed to eat, and do etc etc.

Elon though because he was richest man in the world he has power. He has some but very little in fact against them. He has billions, they have trillions and armies of entrenched agencies like the CIA, NSA, DOD, FBI etc that were created to protect them. They can make you fricking disappear or your whole family vanish into thin air.

They have been at this for centuries, so out maneuvering Elon is child’s play. Notice he didn’t touch any of the industrial military complex’s shite.

Just like Ross Perot, who absolutely told the truth, he is a flash in the pan to them. Trump is too.

But like my wife said last night, why do you care? We have a great life and everything we have ever wanted. Truth be told we have that because when I could have possibly made a difference, I backed down. When they threatened me and my family, I bailed “telling myself if it was just me I would tell them to frick off” but my obligation first is to my God and to protect my family.

Oh and those 3 companies are buying up damn near every house in the country to ensure they will be land lords over our children forever.

Surely Elon knows the difference between DJT&JD/MAGA and the GOP. The GOP will simply hunker down and do what they always do...Uniparty first....always and forever

I know the DOGE cuts getting codified vote was cancelled. I presumed that they were codifying within/ during the BBB?

Were they and this is fake news? What is the source of Eric's X post?

Where is the title of this thread?
