Nothing like hiring ex special forces snipers for security at the convention center for a graduation ceremony in case someone gets “disrespected” and things get out of hand

That looks all wrong but whatever. He’d be prone with a more suitable rifle if he knew what he was doing.

I could honestly hit him from the ground with a good pistol.

A Colt Python (vintage model) with a 6" barrel and from half-way down the block.

Likely more of a show or threat. If he did fire that rifle, I would think he would need to be deputized and that doesn't look like a police uniform.

What makes you think he is ex SF. A military sniper would more likely be set up I. Such a fashion that the other sides sniper or counter sniper could not see/shoot him

That’s what the comments I read said when someone asked where the sniper guy came from. Someone apparently knew him and said he was special forces but who knows if it’s true

Hope he got sunscreen on up there on top of a metal building with no cover.

Guess they want high visibility presence to curtail anyone thinking of trying something.

All the best ex SF snipers know that silhouetting yourself is the number one best thing you can do to maintain tactical advantage

In all seriousness it's probably just to show security

and anybody can do that...including ex-SF snipers

ex-SF don't always do SF things
