As the US keeps escalating its debt, buyers are wanting more in return. Damn, if only someone would have thought this could happen...

Advice from financial planning guys..
I run 65 percent stocks— 35 bonds.. ladder my corps out for five years.. never considered 20 or 30 year bonds
… 66 years old … should I throw some cash ( as bonds mature).. and pick up stuff over five years ??? Just uneasy with a commitment that far out..
Could get ConocoPhillips at 30 years .. 6.3 yield to maturity .. call to make whole ..
I lean toward no .. but interested in other opinions.

Yeah I remember some investment banker from Goldman Sachs speaking to my accounting class in 2019 predicting a recession that never happened due to the inverted yield curve.
Well, I guess it did a few years later under Biden, but they changed the definition of what a recession was to avoid bad press.

Comes from the issue of Japanese bonds, forcing them to sell off US treasury bonds, forcing the rate higher, which will hold interest rates higher. Etc
Read an informative article on this 2 days ago....saying how this was coming because of Japan mostly. They are one of, if not the highest holders of treasury bonds.

Invest in Tesla because everyone is going to want an Optimus and don't invest in bonds with a longer term than 20 years. Just my opinion.

Only pension and sovereign wealth funds (and some of the largest banks) are interested in a 30 year bond. They can afford to hold them to maturity..
The sweet spot is the 5-7 year maturities for regular folks.

Start looking at financial advisors.
Don’t go with Independent groups.
Remember the names Madoff, McFadden and Stanford. Find those names/groups, that’s your start. Do your homework.

Agree TSLA is going to be a good mine, long term when this comes to pass.
Just be aware Musk also said they are 10 years out from mass adoption. More time to accumulate.
