Georgescu never won the 2nd round. He only had 22.94% in the first round, also (Note: Simion got 13.86%)
Combined that tracks to 36.8%
In the 2025 elections, Simion (when allowed to run without much else on the right this time) got 40.96% in the first election. Delta of 4.16% gain.
He still lost. He could only increase his first round by 5.44%.
There is nothing close to a guarantee that Georgescu would have done any better in the 2nd round, in 2024. If we DOUBLED the 2nd round gain by Georgescu, then he'd only have received 47.68 in the 2nd round. That would be insane gains for the 2nd round, given his politics.
