I'm actually curious about that. It's probably not as dramatic as the X post in OP implies.

Then just deport them for being here illegally. I don't understand why getting rid of people who don't belong in the country is so damned difficult .

The Supreme Court’s decision to block deportations under the Alien Enemies Act is judicial overreach at its worst—prioritizing procedural games over national security. Tren de Aragua is a transnational criminal organization fueling violence and drug trafficking, yet activist judges are tying the hands of immigration enforcement. The Alien Enemies Act exists precisely to remove foreign threats during crises, and this ruling undermines its core purpose.

Justices Alito and Thomas rightly dissented, recognizing that unelected judges have no business obstructing the removal of gang members who’ve exploited our borders. This isn’t about due process—it’s about a broken system where courts enable chaos instead of letting ICE enforce the law. America-First policies demand swift deportation of criminal aliens, not endless delays that leave communities vulnerable.

The ACLU’s theatrics won’t change the fact that these individuals were designated threats, but the Court’s interference ensures more bureaucratic paralysis. When judges override executive authority to protect foreign gang members, it’s a direct attack on sovereignty and public safety."

under the Alien Enemies Act

That’s the key phrase. People can be deported under the usual law.

Wonder what “for the time being” implies.

Why can't the executive deport under the Alien Enemies Act too?

It actually does say they can be deported under other legal authority.

Fine. Just deport them anyway as illegal aliens.Nothing says we can't send them to El Salvador.

What they do with them...none of our business.
