The Avengers is the better movie.
The Dark knight Rises is the more quotable movie.

The Avengers was a moment.
The Dark Knight Rises was a letdown.
For that reason I give the nod to the Avengers.

Yet nobody really replays the 2012 Avengers film because it was eaten by the later films and superior storyline.
Yet DKR is still in all the time and is somehow very captivating, even though it's a very flawed film.

TDKR for me. I did not care for the Avengers

On the first watch, Avengers was amazing based on the fact that all of the heroes came together
But it doesn’t hold up at all. Very boring to watch.

Avengers stuck the landing and pulled something off no one had before, some serious goosebump moments seeing those guys share a screen for the first time watching it in the theatre…still some cheesy josh whedon moments that haven’t aged well but overall it did its job.
I loved the Nolan Batmans and really wanted to like TDKR but you can kind of tell his heart wasn’t in that one post Ledger.

This. Avengers is merely solid and doesn't hold up as well outside of some scenes here or there, but DKR pretty much sucked due to all the massive plot holes and stupidity. It's even worse because of how good the first two were.

DKR had the right ingredients but man did that story fall apart.

TDKR, simply for how good Bane’s lines were. The movie is flawed, but not without significant bright spots. The Avengers on rewatches is bland and boring now
And so many more

And so many more

Avengers is still the best MCU movie, imo. TDKR is still quite poor.
Avengers for me.
Avengers for me.

The true debate is which had better leather suit arse close ups…black widow or catwoman?

My favorite Marvel movie is The first Captain America movie. Second would be Guardians of the Galaxy. First Iron Man is what started the entire franchise though. I really wish John Krawzensky from the office was playing Mr. Fantastic.

I rewatch TDKR despite its flaws much more than Avengers.

TDKR has a bunch of memorable scenes. The Airplane hanging. The people being forced to walk on the frozen river. Bane talking in his weird voice. I can't really think of any scenes from The Avengers. I am so disappointed with Modern Marvel that all movies just blur together except for Thanos.

Saw both in theaters. I've never watched The Avengers again. I've watched TDKR several times.

BW's fall mentally and physically to Bane and then the Pit, and his subsequent rise from the Pit always gets me motivated
Make the climb.
