ST. GEORGE - The Blue Bayou portion of Blue Bayou Dixie Landin' will not open for the 2025 season.
The theme park's social media page on Facebook removed mentions of Blue Bayou from its profile information, and in a post announcing the opening date of Dixie Landin' — May 23 — there was no mention of an opening date for the water park.
When WBRZ asked about the opening date for Blue Bayou, we were told that Blue Bayou would not be opening for the 2025 season.

Residents off old Perkins are spared the traffic nightmare of them blocking the roads with off duty cops to let people in and out

That don't sound good at all. Is this the beginning of the end of Blue Bayou?

Have y’all seen the wave pool at that place recently?

It goes brown every year when not in season.
Why waste the money on chlorine in the winter

I wonder what dark secret is causing them to not open?

Someone else needs to buy Blue Bayou. Owners are terrible.

We went on a weekday last year and had a good time. It's a perfect place for 8-12 year olds.

Sam is getting older. Mr. Paul has been having some health problems.
Maybe someone like Schlitterbahn will come in and buy the place.

Did they call ES&H finally to do an oil spill response on all the hair oil that washed up on the shore of the fake beach?

Damn, i have a lot of good memories of that place. I also have memories of weird fevers the following day after going, but dammit. The place was fun as a kid and fun to take my kids when little. We always avoided the wave pool. If you went early on a weekday it was nice.

Well considering the pool was in operation in 1984 (when it was Fantasy Water Park)

Unfortunate - I went once as a teenager in 1995
I’ve never taken my kids there.

It may have been my favorite place in life at that age. I'm now 39, and hadn't been back since my early 20s. It didnt take long for me to realize why my dad hated going there with us.

St. George is working hard to keep the city safe.
