This shite hurts like a motherscratcher.
What do the doctors of the OT say I should do?

Had one about 20 years ago. Needed surgery. Fine now.

Yep. I'm doing the OT/PT exercise protocol and trying to avoid surgery.

Go to a primary care sports medicine doc or a hand surgeon and get a steroid injection. If it’s not better after a few then surgical release is an option.

Me! Cortisone shot(fricking painful)...waited 6 weeks, no luck.
Getting ligament snipped on 20th that will free it up.

Get the surgery. It is outpatient. If you take shots, your just kicking the can down the road. Mine left me less than a half inch scar and no pain/'triggering' for 7 years.
Also, when you go back to work, you can tell people you were off to get a hand job.

Had it about a year or so ago. Made a post about it too. Kept bending and straightening my finger thinking it might make it go away. Guess it worked.

If it is, he might need a penicillin shot too.

I know this old guy from church, he had surgery. Seemed like no big deal, and he was back to normal after a week or so.

Same here had it on two occasions on two different fingers. Lasted about 3-6 months. Did a lot of finger stretches and eventually went away.
Found out that is a common symptom of high blood sugar which I have so you may want to get checked for diabetes. Drugs stores have A1c tests for about 40 bucks or so.

Been knowing I was diabetic for the last 15 years. I likely had it much earlier.

Do whatever you can to get it to work out itself because if they give you that steroid injection in the hand . OH Lord! you will be climbing the walls in pain. Needle is about 3 inches long and has to go thru your hand to the tendon. I looked like spiderman climbing the walls when the dr. inserted it. All this to say yeah it worked. Haven't had an issue since.
