I’m surprised he made it this long with all the wear and tear he took.

Also his use of prescription drugs. While Terry Funk, Mick Foley, and to a lesser extent, RVD, all took a lot of damage as well, they didn’t combine that with a lot of pills.

Sabu is one of the best wrestlers to watch, for sure. Amazing athlete and willing to take a ton of risks.

Too careless with his opponents to make it in WWE imo but a lot of fun to watch.

RIP.

The bumps he took were ridiculous.

This. He just had his retirement match not to long ago. It was odd seeing him doing shoot interviews because he was so well spoken all things considering.

The suicidal, homicidal, genocidal, death defying Sabu

His look just fit the ECW counter-culture style when it was at its peak

RIP Sabu

I’m surprised he lived this long TBH.

He looked like 50 miles of bad road due to all the hardcore stuff he took part in.

Well he was 60 and is /was beat to hell. If anyone was expecting a TunaMeltzer 6 and a quarter Tokyo dome match they weren’t being honest with themselves.

60 in wrestling years is like 120 for a normal person a lot of them don’t make it past 45.

Long life for an 80-90s wrestler. Drug use was uniform and excessive. I was very fortunate I didn’t get in to it as I was huge gym rat but I didn’t like needles, but had a buddies that were juiced

Juice was the least of these guys worries. Pain pills, coke, and vodka was much worse for them.
