I’ve been a huge critic of Shores inaccuracy and walks this year. But that dude was throwing pellets last night. The harder he threw the better he got. Proud of him. Seems like his best innings may be ahead of him. Hopefully he now can be consistent

99.9 according to Lyn

Like Ben always says, I don't care how hard you throw ball 4.

Command looked a lot better last night.... thats what it can look like if it comes together for CS

He needs an out pitch badly.

He seems like a prime candidate for the Christian Little Memorial cutter tutorial program.

He always seems to throw a wild pitch 3ft over the catchers head at the worst times.

In the offseason, he desperately needs to work on his slider and developing a changeup or something to work off the slider. His slider was very good his freshman year

Every pitcher on this team besides Cowan needs a change up boot camp. A good change up will always kill college amateur hitters.

If it worked for Trevor Hoffman for a decade against the best in the majors, it should be good enough for these guys. But let’s keep spending hundreds of off season hours “shaping” a slider that you can’t throw for a strike.

I think he l would do better slowing it down a little and trying to spin it more. They tee off on him it has to be flat to throw 100 and get tee’d off on. He has as much potential as anyone but has to figure out how to fool the batters more

He's hit 100 a few times this season. His control is getting better, though, and he needs another pitch, preferably with a significant velocity change. to make guys look like they're in a Bugs Bunny cartoon.

It was so good his first season. He just needs to find it again.

And yeah, he needs a decent changeup.

If you can throw heat only 2 pitches you need...
1. Fastball that you can place in or out
2. Change up

The guy legitimately went to pieces multiple times last season.

A nice change or slider would elevate him to dominance.

He should reach out to Skenes in the offseason

I feel like he struggles a lot when there is a very patient team that doesn’t chase bad pitches. That’s not Arkansas or A&M.

Not saying you’re wrong but he’s going to get drafted.

Max Effort for a short duration brings out the best in him.

People will talk about getting “barreled”.

I don’t care about that if you’re throwing 100.

Sure. It may implode at some point but show me you can throw strikes. He did that last night and I take the whole thing as a plus.

He only threw 17 pitches yesterday. Hopefully he can pitch that well for least 40-50 pitches at a time.
