Ever think they had an idea what was down the pipe on this hence not discussing much to tip hand for draft, build language in to get money back upon retirement?

Maybe Mickey knew all along and the Carr contract was recently re-structured factoring this retirement in and helping the cap. Carr had leverage of laying on the team’s leg for $30mill. And that’s why they went QB at 40. It is entirely possible that Mickey knew more info than the Saints fan base. I say this despite the fact that I’m not a Mickey fan.
