I felt that for a good 6-7 seconds, north of Atlanta at 9:05

I felt it here in Woodstock. It's raining softly here and at first I thought it was a burst of strong wind and had a second of fear that it might be a tornado.

It knocked a book over in my shelves and I felt the floor shake for about 3-5 seconds.

If 20 km SE from Greenback, then that would put the epicenter in the Cherokee National Forest.

Not much around there, but there is the Fontana Dam less than 20 km from there, so hopefully no issues with that.

I wonder if this is an effect of all the rain from Helene last year that got underground?

Yep, we’re north of ATL. It was enough to rattle pictures on the wall a little bit.

I think that’s the second one in the past year or so?
