Why? Why play 1 or 2 games and then get injured enough to end your career? Just let the team cut you post-June and call it a career.

Attempting to play and causing us to start the season win-less is not cool.

Wants to show how he wants to play but will end up saying "I tried and it didn't work" and have surgery just before the season.

If his shoulder doesn't work and he doesn't want surgery or IR, put him on the PUP list and designate him as a June 1st cut next year. Instantly gets us cap compliant for 2026 and beyond.

Post June 1st cut this year gives him a cap hit of 20.4m in 2025 (same as leaving him on the IR) and 59.6m in 2026.

Post June 1st cut next year gives him a cap hit of 20.4m in 2025, and 0 in 19.2m in 2026 - a savings of 50m.

I could be wrong but ultimately iirc it’s the teams decision. If he needs surgery and he refuses the team can claim breach of contract and recoup some money they owe him

He SUX! Dont believe a word he says. He wants to keep the 40 million, and play somewhere else. Cut his salary, or put him on IR till next year<-end of story-ur choice...D-E-R-E-K.

Good. Saints should avoid him. Enough with the crybaby. Saints need to drag their nuts over this prick

who gives a frick? This guy is poison. Keep him far away from the team. Rattler or the rookie will start this year and most likely suck but we will be set up for another top 10 pick. I think we hit on this draft. My money is on the corner from Louisville we got on day 3 will be a day 1 starter at corner so Alonte Taylor can go back to the slot where he’s best. Banks will be a stalwart at LT which lets us put Fuaga in his natural spot at RT. Hate it for Penning but he can still win the LG spot although my money is on Dillon Radunz winning it. The LB from Oklahoma just looks like he’s crazy which is great for a linebacker. Getting to learn behind Demario should really help him adjust to the NFL quickly and the DT from Texas was really a solid pick that we needed an infusion of cheap, young players.

He will NOT have surgery. He wants to play elsewhere and keep his 40 mil. IR him

Penning but he can still win the LG spot

So, we move the one guy who's struggled to adapt to the NFL and had a good year at RT finally and move him to Guard when he's 6'7" and his biggest problem was standing straight up and getting bull dozed by shorter DEs.

I really hope shough wins job
The last thing saints need is an injured Carr playing meaningful snaps and then you can’t get reps from shough to see if he can be the guy

Diddn't understand what you are trying to say here...and there would be the biggest dead cap hit in '27.

We have our tackles. He either is a backup tackle or guard and likely won’t be here next year unless he transitions to guard well and gets a contract offer to do that or a backup level offer to be a utility/backup kinda guy. Sucks to suck but he’s had plenty of time and didn’t play THAT well last year.
