Any targets you guys know of or any one notable that’s still available in the portal? Been crickets since Williams committed to UCONN

Ndjakalenga Mwenentanda, guard transferring from Texas, is a name I’ve seen.

Listed as a guard, but she's 6-2 and could play a forward spot for LSU. Adds a little size but not really the post depth we need.

They could possibly add a grad transfer depending on who’s available.

Koval is a true big.

Saw an interview of one of the assistants on 104.5. Said they likely had 2 more additions to the roster coming soon.

Hope this is true

As noted, I’m sure we will pick up a couple Amani-Bartlett-level warm bodies for the front court. That’s all that’s left out there.
At this stage of the game, getting your hopes up for more than that will lead to disappointment.

As guard-heavy as this roster is, we truly need posts primarily for rebounds & blocks. Scoring is bonus, imo, particularly anything outside of rebound-putbacks & dump-off passes for layups & deep-paint post-ups.
Knox has both rebounding & blocks in spades, but is young. Joyner can definitely rebound, almost avg'd 10 rpg. Koval definitely can block & is a solid rebounder. We just need depth with the backups to provide the same skills in relief.

I agree. I think the roster is set, for the most part. Anyone else they pickup, in terms of post players, will just be someone who'll have a roster spot in case the others get hurt. But even with that, this is still a VERY good roster. Certainly as good, if not better than this past season's.

there still a few weeks time, grad transfers didnt have to enter the portal, they will get 2 bigs if they want and i think they can find some that scan contribute

Im going to wait and see but there has been chatter they are going to add a grad transfer or potential international player who is EXPECTED to be in the rotation with Koval, Joyner and Knox. Not just purely a warm body like Mani.
Koval will obviously start next year and obviously it'll be good for LSU down the road to make her the focus of development for the future at 6'5 and former top 5 recruit out of HS and Joyner gives Knox times to integrate year 1.
I believe the 2nd other addition is just a warm body for the roster but the other one is expected to be in the mix for some playing time.
Last year LSU had 6'1 and 6'2 as their interior post players. This coming season we already are at 6'2 and 6'5

357, could the international player possibly be Awa Fam from Spain? We can hope and dream! She is expected to be #1 draft pick next year. I remember she was on a zoom call with LSU a year ago. Like I said, we can hope and dream it's her.

If it were Fam, that would put us right back where we thought we'd be with Serah Williams. I doubt she would want to come over here for just one season of college ball, but if she does I'm all for it.

If Awa Fam came here...holy frickin' smokes. Nope. Not gonna even entertain this pipe dream.
But speaking of Awa, Kim did have a couple of international players on the roster from France, one of them being Awa Trasi. I think she was a Juco signee tho, not signed from a french club. But who knows, Kim may have french club connections and a post could be coming from there.

I think Kim inherited the French, with maybe 1 exception…..

Trasi was a Fargas recruit. Also, Fam plays in Spain, not France.

Audi Crooks new transfer prospect from Iowa state would fill the roster quickly
