I’m sure if the script were flipped, the Dems would never release something that would make Trump look incompetent

Maybe because all the media and Democrats are still lying and saying “we never saw any sign of dementia! He was always sharp as a tack!”

The Trump Administration had the ability to release the interview as soon as Trump was sworn in. Why would it matter what Dems and media have to say???

It was outright said he was so cognitively declined he couldn't last a trial.
Then the media helped keep him in office to spite Trump.
Imagine if any non dem President were outright obvious suffering from dementia. Imagine the same POTUS getting away with being on the take with the CCP with their son as the bagman. And then was SAID TO BE to mentally unstable to withstand a trial.
They would be tarred, feathered, crucified by dawn with CNN given the heads up to film it.
RELEASE IT there is no more dignity after what they have done to Trump.

The only reason to not release it, is it might be seen as “punching down”. Abusing a defenseless opponent.

There may be instances wherein the lies, conspiracies and coverups cross the legal line, I.e., Rackateering/RICO, to manipulate an election. They will dance around the lawyer criminal or no legalese but that is exactly what happened. It all depends on "what the meaning of is, is".

They gotta say they're thinking of doing it so they can get something from the democrats that they want/need right now. We'll probably never know the real reason. If it gets released, we'll know they didn't get whatever it is that they want/need.
