What you're go to that actually LASTS and takes care of tough weeds?

i've had success with the husqvarna titanium trimmer line from lowes.

The best string I’ve found
You may have to step down a bit in size, like to maybe .105, but this is the toughest string I’ve used.

For tougher weeds round line will be the most durable. The densest part of lines with fancy shapes will be smaller, where as round line will be dense through the entire diameter.
That said I used Echo Black Diamond in the past. It cuts sharp and does great for normal weed eating, but admittedly it's not great for course or tough weeds.
I currently use a fluorescent green line that's a similar shape to black diamond, can't remember the name brand. It performs similarly to black diamond. when I run out I'm going back to a .095 round line.
ETA: This is the line I use currently. If nothing else, it's half the price of black diamond and works just as good.

For a weak Ryobi trimmer, you can’t have a durable string that cuts well.
You need a thin string for it to cut good and a thick one for durability. The only way around this is more power.

I have a big huge spool of thick echo line with edges for my Echo weedeater but was burning through it relatively fast so bought a different type just to try out. Forget the brand but it's a grey round line. Crazy how much longer it lasts and how much better it cuts.

Rotary Vortex Your trimmer probably takes .080 but you may be able to step up to .095 which will help with the tough weeds.

Used this one with good success, but after the project farm review video I decided to to buy the MaxPower Twisted. Just ran out of husqvarna so will try the new line next time I restring.

Plain Stihl 0.095" round line. I've tried lots of types but nothing actually seemed to work better or last appreciably longer for the price. I've found stuff with sharp edges usually binds up in my trimmer heads and the twisted stuff simply doesn't seem to offer any real benefit.

I bought the highlighter yellow twisted Max power based on that video. Idk if its the best but its a lot better than the generic orange string that came with mine.

I'm using the MaxPower twisted stuff from the Project Farm video but I might try the Echo Black Diamond. Before MaxPower I was using Echo Cross-Fire orange .095. I may start using .105 line and see how it compares.

I've been using MaxPower Twisted (yellow) for several years now. It's pretty good string so I've never tried anything else. Bookmarking this thread to see if there is another string out there that might be better.
