I've stayed in a few hotels lately. And it seems like they're all doing this.
I guess they're trying to make a profit. It's just a pain and arse that you have to go to the hotel clerk about getting a Cold drink and having to pay with card

Ridiculous.

They don't have to pay a 3rd party to stock the machines and make the majority of the profit.

Issue becomes out of dates with vending machines on each floor and not as much foot traffic as the lobby. Some hotels choose to do every other floor for vendors.

Huh? That's what the minibar/room service is for.

Uh, you must mean motels.

Hotels have actual bars inside, near the lobby.

Yeah but they close at 9 or ten o'clock. If I want a snack at 11:30, I'm SOL.

Nothing like having to walk to the lobby, grab a desperation hangover drink and face the person you just acted an arse in front of a few hours before.

Stop buying shite there. It ain’t a movie theater and they don’t punish you for bringing in your own food and drink, hence those handy refrigerators and microwaves they provide.

Get a backpack, load with beverages soon before hotel check-in, and done. Cheaper and simple. More choices too at the supermarket.

Most Ritz Carltons and Four Seasons have 24 hour room service.

Is this amateur hour?

Get the stuff you want before you go to your room.

As long as the ice machine is working I’m good.
