Greenland is 100% not happening

In order for that to happen, I'm certain that 3 parties would have to be ok with it: Greenland, Denmark and the US Congress.

There's absolutely no support for it in any of these groups. So, I can say with certainty that we can all forget about the fantasy of Trump buying or taking Greenland.

Over 85% of Greenlanders and 80% of Danes want nothing to do with the U.S. They have flat-out said that they’re not for sale.

Greenland's government is run under Denmark (who is effectively their overlords) and neither one of them are interested in the least to be part of the US.

Also, Congress wouldn't ever back it either. It's not the 19th century. You can’t just buy land anymore without the people living there agreeing to it.

If Trump ever thought about using force, a lot of bad sht could happen.

If you invade Greenland which is effectively Denmark, you would likely trigger Article 5 and then every NATO country could potentially join in.

Sure, we could probably prevail but the whole idea would be absurd and embarrassing. There would be total global isolation. NATO would turn on us and sanctions would come from everwhere.

In the US we would see impeachment, protests and probably the military brass would refuse orders.

This would completely hand China and Russia the moral high ground.

It's probably a cool idea to fantasize over on this board and Twitter but in actuality would be a complete disaster and will never happen.
